Zo niet het werk van Meric Algun Ringborg (Istanbul, 1983). De in Stockholm woonachtige kunstenaar geeft het heilige boek weer als een rustgevende abstracte lijn. Ringborg vertelt in een interview dat hij gefascineerd is door de lijn: &#8216;Ik vind de lijn, en daarmee bedoel ik elke lijn, vrij raadselachtig. Het kan een beeld zijn dat iets weergeeft of informatie representeert, terwijl het nog steeds een lijn is.&#8217; Met deze conceptuele vorm lijkt de kunstenaar het heilige boek bijna monddood te maken. Of zoals hij het zelf onder woorden brengt: &#8216;De Bijbel is het meest wijdverspreide boek ooit.
